As owner and founder of Shellback General Contracting, Matt takes a hands-on approach to ensure the overall performance and success of each project acquired. After serving in the US Navy as a Rescue Swimmer, Matt formed Viking Construction in 2008, specializing in commercial millwork installation. In 2013, he expanded into the general contracting field, carrying with him a reputation for dependability and providing clients superior service and craftsmanship. His experience has included managing a comprehensive spectrum of projects in the residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality sectors.
Carly oversees the financial controls and marketing initiatives for Shellback, as well as supervises accounting staff and processes. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University, Carly held both accounting and marketing positions in the fields of finance and construction before forming Shellback General Contracting with her husband, Matt, in 2013. Carly is the 2021 President of Commercial Real Estate Women's Network of OKC (CREW-OKC), the current Board President of Camp Fire Heart of Oklahoma, and has been involved in several other community and youth-centered nonprofits.
Jenni graduated from University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. She is an integral part of the Shellback management team and works closely with the Project Managers to help prepare and implement a comprehensive action plan for each job and ensure the most efficient use of resources, time, and budget.
Kyle was an original employee of Viking Construction and transferred to Shellback when the company was formed in 2013. His years of experience in construction provides great insight and direction to our field operations. As a Shellback Superintendent, Kyle coordinates with subcontractors and the project management team to achieve goals relating to the budget and timeline.
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
Tyler graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Construction Science degree and quickly established a solid reputation in the construction industry. After recently moving back to Norman with his family in 2016, he has led the charge on a multitude of projects within the metro, ranging in size from $300k to $42m. He currently sits on several boards within the community, including Norman NEXT, BBBS of Norman, University of Oklahoma Construction Science Professional Advisory Board, and the Norman Rotary Club.
After studying Architecture at the University of Oklahoma, Eliott has been involved in a multitude of projects throughout the state in various of sectors, including commercial, retail, multi-family, and historic. As a Shellback Project Manager, Eliott aptly manages the flow of information from the client, design team, and subcontractors while simultaneously accounting for the project budget and schedule, site safety, and quality control issues.
Mike is a 30-year veteran of the construction industry and has directed field operations on a multitude of projects in the residential, commercial, and retail sectors. As a Shellback Superintendent, he is responsible for the daily operations of projects under his supervision including site management and coordination with consultants, subcontractors, and the project team to ensure successful completion that adheres to project goals and time constraints.
